Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
Hardwood Alchemy Inc. (“Hardwood Alchemy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website hardwoodalchemy.net (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors to the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact or consultation request form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and any project details or messages you include.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. This may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on the Site, and referring website, typically through cookies or similar tracking technologies.
We do not currently process online payments or bookings through the Site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations;
- Communicate with you about your project;
- Understand and improve how visitors use the Site; and
- Comply with legal obligations, if any arise.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies through Google Analytics to collect usage data as described above. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site or our business (for example, our website host, ShowIt, and Google Analytics), who are only permitted to use it to provide those services;
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain the information you submit through our contact form for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for our general business records. We do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule for this information.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices & Rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will honor reasonable requests to the extent required by applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
